Community First, Service Always
At the heart of what we do is a simple mission: to make life easier, more connected, and more meaningful for individuals and families in our community.
Kayla grew up in Reed City, Michigan, where her strong sense of community first took root. She later moved to the Greater Philadelphia area, where she earned her Associate’s Degree as a Medical Assistant. Over the past thirteen years, she built a meaningful career in palliative care and geriatric medicine—experiences that deepened her compassion and strengthened her faith, guiding her calling to serve others during life’s most important moments.
While in Philadelphia, Kayla met her husband, Brian, and together they are raising four wonderful children who keep them active and involved in their community. In the summer of 2024, their family felt called to return home to Central Michigan, bringing with them a renewed passion for serving and strengthening the community that first shaped her.
Family, faith, and connection are at the core of everything Kayla does, both personally and professionally. Through Community Connections, she brings her experience, heart, and faith-driven purpose to creating a supportive network for families, individuals, and the community as a whole. Her mission is simple: to help others feel seen, supported, and cared for—every step of the way.
